CCHS Lieutenant Governor award winners Scott Schooley, a Grade

Community High School
(CCHS) received the Lieutenant
Governor’s Award
of Excellence for Grade
11 in presentations by Lt.
Gov. Gordon Barnhart at
the school Oct. 7.
One Lieutenant
Governor’s Achievement
Award is presented for
each grade across the
north between Grade 6
and 12 annually.
Two awards came to La
Ronge, Schooley and Morgan
Bird, from Senator
Myles Venne School.
The Lieutenant Governor
presented both the
Lieutenant Governor’s
Award of Excellence and
Northern Achievement
awards to CCHS students;
Those who received the
Northern Achievement
Award were: Dylan Stryde,
Lexi Ylioja, Erik Cardiff,
Sheridan Hamilton,
Anna Robertson, Priscilla
McKay, Kendall McKenzie,
Tia Sanderson, Chase
Worobey-Heimbecker,
Natasha Boyes, Deborah
McCloud, Kandra Stacey,
Mathew Towill, Sekwan
Trottier, Diane Elliot and
Sheldon Merriman.
Each award carries with
it a monetary gift as well,
said Ken Gray, principal
of Churchill Community
High School.
