Police have launched investigations to understand the exact circumstances surrounding the brutal shooting, but it is noted that no one has been arrested on suspicion.

“It's amazing, it's a very quiet area, we've never had an incident like this,” underlines Katrina Vyshinsky, who has lived in this part of Saint-Lambert for more than 7 years.

A resident who lives less than 50 meters from the parking lot where the teenager was shot said he was home when the shooting happened but did not hear anything.

“I didn't hear anything and it was only when I saw all the cars coming that I knew something had happened,” Ms Vyshinsky said, before adding: “My partner left in 10 minutes. Before it happened.”

A security perimeter has been set up at the crime scene and witnesses are expected to be interviewed by investigators, while anyone with information is encouraged to report it to the police service.
