In February 2019, the Sûreté du Québec ended a major operation aimed at dismantling a network linked to the Hells Angels that controlled drug trafficking in the eastern part of the province and in New Brunswick.

About thirty individuals were arrested as part of Operation Oursin, but four remain the subject of wanted notices, including Shawinigan resident Luc-Manuel Thibodeau.

The 48-year-old man and his wife of the plantation owner surrendered to the authorities a few days after returning home.

Imprisonment

He was presented by the police as a supplier to a network run by the Blanchett twins from Beause, including Eric Blanchett, a prospect for the Hells Angels from the New Brunswick chapter.

In November 2021, Thibodeau finally pleaded guilty to a lesser count of property obtained by crime and received a suspended prison sentence.

The latter recently put his luxurious property in Shawinigan up for sale.

The 28-room residence is on the market for $2.75 million.

On the banks of the Saint-Maurice River

The small estate is located on the banks of the Saint-Maurice river in the upscale district of the Grand-Mer golf course.

Built in 1999, the property has four bedrooms, each with their own bathroom.

The total value of the building and land is assessed by the City of Shawinigan at $812,200. According to Rolle, the building is in the name of Thibodeau’s wife, Sandra Sharon Bondac.

The latter is the daughter of Hells Angels Alain Sharon, who was sentenced to five years in prison in 2018 for conspiring to import 15 tons of hashish.

Luc-Manuel Thibodeau and his wife are both presidents of a property management company whose “head office” is located at the address for sale.
