Danny Bonaduce to undergo brain surgery for neurological disorder – The Hollywood Reporter

Danny Bonaduce has revealed that he is scheduled to undergo brain surgery after he was recently diagnosed with a neurological disorder.

during an interview with TMZPosted online on Friday. Partridge family Starr said he was diagnosed in March with hydrocephalus — a buildup of fluid in the cavities deep inside the brain — after seeing hundreds of doctors about a mysterious disease.

“My life was talking to doctors,” he recalls. “I had meetings with five doctors in one single day, and no one could tell what it was. And I thought, ‘Well, that’s a big deal. I’m falling now. That can’t be good. ”

In April last year, Bonaduce posted on his social media that he was taking a break from his daytime radio show. The Danny Bonaduce and Sarah Al Sabah Show on Seattle-based KZOK to focus on his health journey.

Although he didn’t share many details at the time, he now told the outlet that his battle with the mysterious illness initially began when his wife noticed something was malfunctioning in his speech and that he had lost the ability to walk or balance.

The radio presenter said that although he “can’t figure out why it’s ‘because I did a lot of stupid things on a reality TV show'”, he hopes the surgery, which is scheduled for Monday, will ease his symptoms.

“From what I hear, if the diagnosis is correct… it will be 50 percent better [away]Bonaduce said. “I’d rather be safe than sorry. I don’t want to get my hopes up too much to be cured… I’d be absolutely shocked if that didn’t work. I can’t walk right now, I can’t walk right now.”

He noted that he doesn’t expect to fully regain movement, but hopes the surgery will make it easier to navigate his daily schedule.

The actor added, “I will never run. I will never square again. But if I can get from here to the kitchen on my own, bravo.”
