Dion Sanders In an emotional Instagram post on Tuesday, the NFL legend announced that he ended up losing two toes in his battle to recover from foot surgery.
Previewing the next episode of his documentary “Coach Prime” with Barstool Sports and SMAC Productions on his social media page… Sanders revealed his big toe and had his left toe surgically removed several weeks ago.

Sanders showed the disfigured foot in the document’s teaser video…and wrote in the caption, “I have endured so much while in the hospital during our historic season, but I am so thankful that God is there to help me pull it off.”
As we reported… Sanders initially had surgery to repair a prolonged foot injury in the fall, but his recovery never went on track.

Sanders struggled to get his foot to heal — and needed a wheelchair and a scooter to get around for months.
The former Dallas Cowboys cornerback said he eventually needed 8 surgeries to try and get his right foot… and one of those procedures apparently involved cutting two digits off his left foot.
