In celebration of Dragon Age Day 2022, BioWare has released an in-game cinematic of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf that sets the stage for the adventures to come.
The cinematics revolve around Solas, a playable character in Dragon Age: Inquisition who is clearly one of the main driving forces in the upcoming RPG.
Varric, another playable character who first appeared in Dragon Age 2, narrates the video and tells the story of Solas, formerly Fen’Harel, the dire wolf.
“I knew him as Solas, a thoughtful wizard obsessed with dreams,” Varrick recounts, “but a long time ago, he had a different name – Finn Harrell, the Dreadful Wolf.” An ancient god of lies or a heroic rebellion against tyranny, depending on which story you believe in. In his final fight with the Elven gods, Solas imprisoned them and created a veil that separated our world from the raw magic of vanishing. But now, he wants to tear down that veil and destroy the world and we are the only ones who can stop him. “.
While we still don’t have a release date for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, BioWare has confirmed that the long-awaited RPG has recently completed the Alpha mark, which means the game is now playable from start to finish. However, there is still a lot of work and polishing to do.
