FedEx and UPS warn package deliveries may be halted due to a winter storm as driver safety takes priority

FedEx and UPS have announced that package delivery may cut it short Huge winter storm Moving across the United States after major distribution centers were attacked by severe weather.

FedEx recommends keeping up with the Service Alerts page for updates as well as tracking shipments.

The company reminded customers that shipments delayed “due to inclement weather are not eligible for a refund or credit under the Money Back Guarantee policy.”

UPS issued a similar statement announcing that the weather affected its air and ground service, specifically at hubs in Louisville, Kentucky. and Rockford, Illinois.

“We will work to ensure the safety of our staff while minimizing impacts on service. Contingency plans are in place to help ensure shipments reach their final destinations as quickly as conditions permit,” the statement read.

The Parcel Service encourages customers to keep abreast of the status of shipments on its website.

UPS also said that the UPS Service Warranty does not apply to shipments affected by weather-related disruption.
