An eight-year-old boy has died in a fire that broke out this morning at his home in Sainte-Hénédine, a municipality in the Nouvelle-Beauce area.

The fire destroyed the Sainte-Hénédine home in Pius, leaving no chance for its occupants.

“He was a good man, and I wish he had not suffered,” explains his neighbor and longtime acquaintance, who wished to keep his name quiet.

Neighbors were alerted to the incident after seeing “power outages” and significant “red lights” from the fire department.

Despite the rejection of the criminal study, Sûreté du Québec reports that major crimes and forensic signs are still at hand today to shed light on the events.

A loving man

“When I woke up this morning I was surprised. The whole house on the second floor caught fire. When I go to the queue, there will be no house, they will demolish it, ”says a neighbor sadly.

The eight-year-old was known in his neighborhood as quiet and appreciative.

The two worked together very young and have not lost sight of each other since. “He was very nice and smart. He shook his head and discussed important things. He always pushed me back so as not to go to the apartment,” he adds.

He explains that after being in the mother’s bed for many years, the victim lived alone for at least 25 years.
