Jenna ortega revealed that there is one line in Wednesday which she refused to say.

The 20-year-old actor plays Wednesday Addams in the hit Netflix series – a new re-imagining of the popular Charles Addams Family.

The line in question comes in the fourth episode of the series, about her school’s annual dance.

Wednesday looks at a dress in an antique shop window, while out with the Thing.

Later in the episode, she searches her room for something to wear, and finds that Thing has stolen the dress for her.

The disembodied hand did give a grateful look — but it turns out Ortega had a line of dialogue during the sequence.

the actor said, during a Q&A on Netflix.

She explained, “I was blown away because it just seemed like…it was just a bunch of little things like that.” “I felt like we managed to avoid a lot of dialogue in an effort to make her sound human.”

Ortega was praised by fans of the series for making the cut, and many agreed that it wouldn’t work with her usually svelte persona.

“We should give credits to the actors who know their characters better than the writers sometimes,” one fan wrote on TikTok.

The episode itself featured what may be the series’ most talked about scene, in which Wednesday performs a dance at the school prom.

In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Ortega revealed that she was Unable to sleep for several days before filming the dance scene.

“I felt like an idiot,” she said. “I’m not a dancer. I don’t do any of that. I don’t have experience in that area. And then I didn’t sleep for two days.”
