Singer and actress Lea Michele popped in for Thanksgiving on Thursday.

The 36-year-old Glee vet wore a bright red outfit and black hat with a feather from her Funny Girl Broadway show while singing the tune of “Don’t Rain On My Parade.”

The mother of one of them was performing during the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.

Along with the iconic balloons, the parade will also include 28 floats, 12 marching bands, 700 clowns, and many more music stars set to make their way on Thanksgiving Day.

The star spoke to Good morning America in NYC about getting into some pretty big shoes before she sings a song from the show.

When asked if she would have loved it if her idol Barbra Streisand, who made the role of Fanny Brice in Funny Girl famous, had come and seen her performance, Michelle said yes and that it would be “amazing.”

As far as going back to Broadway, she said it makes her happy.

“It’s such a joy to be a part of the Broadway community, to be home to me, I love it so much,” she said.

“I started performing when I was eight in Les Miserables and now after so many years to be back on Broadway for my fifth show, it was a dream to star as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl.”

As far as juggling the show and being a mom to her son ever, at the age of two, she says she’s doing the best she can.

I think about it, I have the best husband, he’s great, he helps. But it is a challenge. My son knows that I sing and go to work.

She also told her son that she loved him and would see him later.

The star was also in costume to perform “Don’t Rain on My Parade” with the hilarious cast.
