Police are looking for victims of alleged stalking

An alleged sex predator from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, arrested last month, allegedly targeted several children, and authorities believe he may have had many more victims.

Jean-Philippe St-Martin, 31, was disabled by police on July 9. He later appeared in court in Longueuil on 13 charges, including production and possession of child pornography, exhibition, sexually explicit material to a minor, solicitation, sexual contact and drug delivery.

The facts of which he is accused allegedly occurred between 2023 and 2024, in Saint-Julie and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

“Mr. Saint-Martin could, in the past, have occupied activities with children and adolescents that put him in a position of authority,” noted the Régie intermunicipale de police Richelieu-Saint-Laurent, although it did not provide further details on the exact nature of the activities carried out by the accused.

As several victims were identified, the Sûreté du Québec’s coordinated management system for serial criminal investigations (GECS) was used.

Any information about this person or their behavior can be sent confidentially to 450 922-7001, extension 399.
