The official cause of death for Richard Simmons is under investigation, Los Angeles Police said.

The legendary fitness trainer died on Saturday — just one day after his 76th birthday.

Police and fire officials were dispatched to the Los Angeles health expert’s home after receiving a call from Simmons’ housekeeper Saturday morning, TMZ’s first report.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police told the newspaper. “There was no suspicion of foul play,” police said.
