Two injured in clashes in lower Quebec city

Two people were injured and taken to hospital after an altercation between several people in Lower Town, Quebec, early Sunday morning.

The incident occurred around 3 a.m. at the exit of the Cognac bar on rue Saint-Joseph Est near rue Monseigneur-Gauvreau in the Saint-Roch district.

For some unknown reason, at least two warriors, one in their thirties and the other in their twenties. One suffered a hand injury and the other an arm injury. We do not fear for their lives.

One of the two men had already left the scene when police arrived, but he was found a short time later.

An investigation by the General Crimes Unit of the Service de police de la Ville de Québec (SPVQ) revealed that a sharp object was used during the fight.

The police force’s General Crime Unit is currently investigating to understand what caused the breast stroke. The SPVQ is asking for the public’s help in continuing the investigation.

No one has been arrested so far.
