Environment Canada says Quebec was hit by four hurricanes Monday afternoon, in which one person was killed and extensive damage in Muscat, Lanadier.
The agency said in its weather summary on Friday that an improved Fujita scale of zero, or EF, hit Saint-Valentine in Montreux, blowing at 115 km / h at 3:35 p.m. Between zero and five, five are the most important.
Ten minutes later, Muscovite was hit by a hurricane of intense EF2, with winds of up to 200 km / h, killing 59-year-old Jack LeBeau, who had taken refuge in a barn.
At 4:15 p.m., a third hurricane – and EF0 intensity – blew at 115km / h in Saint-Celeste, in center-to-Quebec.
At 4:50 p.m., an EF1 hurricane struck Saint-Narcissus-de-Pureway in Sடியdier-Appalach, with winds of up to 150km / h.
ONT, in conjunction with the North Tornado project centered on Western University in London, released preliminary results on Friday based on the damage seen to the ground.
