The Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) is currently investigating the police intervention, which was filmed in its territory.
In the video, you can see the police using very aggressive force to immobilize a citizen in the snow.
The citizen who filmed the scene is also making a paradoxical montage in parallel with the government’s new anti-racism campaign.
Quebec Mayor Bruno Marcant responded on his social media network criticizing the techniques used by the police.
“I am concerned about these images circulating on the internet regarding the police intervention of the SPVQ. These events will be highlighted, ”he wrote on Twitter.
On the SPVQ side, we try to identify police officers who act in this way, and the images are sent to management and its professional standard module for analysis.
