Police arrested a man after airport officials said he opened the emergency exit door of an AeroMexico plane and exited to the wing of the plane on a flight bound for Central America late last week. Passengers are demanding this because they were delayed for hours and needed help.
Mexico City International Airport acknowledged in a statement that the wild display occurred Thursday morning while the plane was on the ground waiting to take off for Guatemala.
According to the airport statement posted on social media, the man “stood on a wing and entered the cabin again, without causing any harm to anyone…or the plane.”
Due to international security rules, the airport reported that the man was “placed at the disposal of the authorities.”

“Without ventilation and without water”
According to one publication circulated on social mediaPassengers on board the plane claimed to have been on the runway for hours without proper ventilation or water during the flight delay.
“The delay and lack of air created conditions that put the health of passengers at risk. He saved our lives,” the passengers wrote in a message translated from Spanish.
“The emergency exit was opened out of desperation after they left us locked up for almost 4 hours with no ventilation and no water,” one person, who claimed to have been on the plane, wrote in a comment on X along with a handwritten photo of a letter signed by. Passengers.
The same passenger wrote that the plane's doors were closed, passengers were “without information” and there were “old ladies about to faint.”
According to an incident report submitted to airport officials, the Associated Press reported that passengers “were dissatisfied and one of them opened the emergency door and exited to the suite. This event required a change of aircraft.”
The Associated Press reported that at least 77 passengers on flight AM672 signed the statement circulating online.
