Amazon Internet Services (AWS) intends to invest an additional $9 billion in Singapore

SINGAPORE – Amazon Web Services said on Tuesday it will invest an additional S$12 billion (about $8.87 billion) over the next five years to grow its cloud infrastructure and services in Singapore.

“The investment will go into building and building capital capabilities, all of which are linked to the Asia-Pacific region in Singapore,” Priscilla Chung, director of AWS in Singapore, told CNBC’s “Street Signs Asia” on Tuesday.
