“Armored Core 6” feeds players a wood chipper with a head tutorial

Armored core 6 here with Great reviews And strong raw player counts, given that it would never launch on the scale of something like Elden Ring, despite it being a FromSoftware title.

But when players jump into the game, they find that the game has a solid, solid wall that is almost instantly rushed into, which is the first boss in the game. It’s the AH12 HC helicopter, and it’s proven to be a fierce test for new and seasoned Armored Core players alike.

One of the main issues with the first boss is that you can’t specifically specify your combat mechanic, because it’s too early in the game to do so. This is literally the tutorial, so you’re stuck with the gear you’re given and it’s completely focused on the mechanics. The mechanics…tough. The advice includes staying on the ground as long as you can, balancing your gauges and the boss’s, and making sure he doesn’t get knocked down by small fire now and then. Use the environment for cover and use attack and melee boosts for your highest damage chances.

Some say the boss fight is one of the toughest in history FromSoftware, a studio known for challenging boss fights, despite it being a tutorial for the game. This is tantamount to “throwing out” new players, especially content creators who, while broadcasting, struggle so hard to get past it, despite wanting to play the exciting new thing for their audiences.

However, there are other, more difficult bosses in the game, including Batleus later:

It takes players anywhere from 90 minutes to 5 hours to beat the first boss, especially if they are not familiar with the genre. Some call for mitigating it, but that’s FromSoftware, so this seems unlikely unless something is directly faulty, which doesn’t seem to be the case.

It feels like a tough crucible but it is essential to the game. It’s a huge relief when that boss is taken down, and prepares you for what to expect from the rest of the game, which will destroy you in all-new ways. The point is not to give up too early, because if you can get through it, and you’re glad you did, you’ll likely enjoy the rest of the game. If you stop getting frustrated well, I probably can’t blame you, but it might pay to persevere.
