Doctor Who’s Tate and Tennant return in the 60th special trailer

It’s finally time for my Whovian nostalgia, specifically, to satisfy me

I remember Doctor Who50th anniversary well done. Mostly, I remember how many parts I didn’t get with Paul McGann, Sylvester McCoy, Colin Baker, Peter Davison, and the rest of the returning Doctor cast. I jumped with Christopher Eccleston! I didn’t know these doctors! They were just some guys the show expected me to care about!

when Doctor WhoAll three 60th anniversary specials will air in November (on the BBC, and outside the UK and Ireland, on Disney Plus), and it will finally be my turn to cry over some of the young actors Doctor Who Fans have a bit of an emotional connection to it, because David Tennant and Catherine Tate will reprise their roles as the Doctor and Donna Noble, respectively. This is great for Tennant print Whovians like me for multiple reasons, not least of which Chemistry for all times That Tate and Tennant Owns.

But it’s also about an unexpected resolution to Donna’s agonizing character arc. She went from a middle-aged temp worker who thought she lacked the ability to achieve anything at all, to the most important person in the universe thanks to sheer intelligence and gumption, to having her entire self-journey forcefully erased from her memory. So that she could be returned to her old life that was going nowhere just because the doctor wasn’t willing to watch her die.

And then Doctor Who Owns A new model, a new doctor, and a new companionAnd no one really expected the story to come back to Donna being freed from her personal hell. Until the 60th anniversary special this year.

So, if you are Doctor Who Fan who came in a later era, Donna and the Tenth Doctor are just stories for you – relax. All you have to do is wait until the special 70th anniversary in 2033.
