During the night from Sunday to Monday, in the courtyard of a residence in Grande-Rivière, Caspé, two motorists who had been drinking had a serious accident.

At 12:30 a.m. the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) was called to Grande Allée Est (R-132) for a collision between a car and a house.
“After losing control, the vehicle collided with the wall of the residence and a vehicle at the private entrance before ending its journey on its hood in a neighboring yard,” explains Frédéric Deshaies, spokesman for the SQ.
The car reportedly rolled a few times, ejecting one of its passengers. The latter was in a serious but steady state when writing these lines.
Another person in the boat sustained minor injuries in the violent looting. Fortunately, the three who were sleeping at home were not injured.
According to provincial police, speed and impaired driving were factors in the case. A collision scene reconstructionist is due to visit the scene on Monday to examine the scene.
