Finding an old email containing instructions from your boss, a friend’s address, or an airline rewards number is about to get a whole lot easier, according to Google.

On Friday, the company announced an artificial intelligence update for Gmail: Over the next 15 days, end users will start seeing “top results” when searching their inboxes, which appear above the “All results” section. The new category is powered by Google’s machine learning models, which will analyze your search term, most recent emails, and “other relevant factors” to determine which messages are the best match for your query.

The news is the latest in a series of strategic changes to the email service, including a controversial update to its inactive account policy in May: Once you no longer use a Google account in two years, the company may then delete the account, including all of its content and data. In February, Google completed rolling out its new Gmail interface to every user, which included a redesign and focus on the company’s other productivity tools.

The strategic shifts are likely to align with Google’s recent cost-cutting measures and CEO Sundar Pichai’s plans to make the company “20% more productive.” On Alphabet’s most recent earnings call, executives discussed their plans to allocate resources to areas including artificial intelligence and search, and business chief Philip Schindler stressed “the ability of search to demonstrate demand and deliver a measurable return on investment in an uncertain environment.”
