Killer Ugo Fredette will not have a new trial and the Court of Appeals has rejected his request to start all over.

“No error has been proven. The court dismisses the appeal,” the country’s Supreme Court read out today.
This means that Fredette has no chance of escaping the murders of Véronique Barbe and Yvon Lacasse on September 14, 2017.

An amber alarm was triggered, and during the drive, Fred brutally assaulted a 71-year-old motorist in a rest area in Lochut. He then dumped the body in a wooded area before leaving with the vehicle.
He was eventually arrested in Ontario with the child who was unharmed.
He was convicted of double first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole before serving 25 years.
“Ugo Fried will never be as free as these murders commission was before,” Judge Miriam Lachans said.
