Lisa Kudrow is recalling her friendship with the late Friends star Matthew Perry.
Kudrow, who co-starred with the late actor on the sitcom “Friends” from 1994 to 2004, paid tribute to Perry in Posted on Instagram on Wednesday After Perry’s death on October 28. The actress, who plays Phoebe Buffet opposite Perry’s Chandler Bing, shared a throwback photo of the pair.
“The pilot, Friends Like Us, was picked up, and then right away, we were at NBC Upfronts. Then… I suggested we play poker and made it so much fun while we were bonding at the beginning. Thank you for that,” Kudrow wrote. “Thank you for making me laugh so hard at something I said, that my muscles hurt and tears streamed down my face every day.”
Aside from his comedic talent, Kudrow expressed his gratitude for Perry’s generosity and flexibility.
“Thank you for your open heart in a six-way relationship that requires compromise. And lots of talking,” Kudrow wrote. “Thank you for showing up to work when you weren’t feeling well and after that, you totally rocked.”
“Thank you for the best 10 years a person can have. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for everything I have learned about grace and love through knowing you. Thank you for the time I spent with you, Matthew,” she concluded. “.
Perry was found dead in the jacuzzi of his Los Angeles home on October 28. He was 54 years old at the time of his death. Following a joint statement issued by the Friends cast mourning Perry, his co-stars shared individual personal tributes to the actor.
“Boy, this moment cut deep…Having to say goodbye to Matty was a crazy wave of emotions like I’ve never felt before,” Jennifer Aniston wrote on Instagram. “We loved him dearly. He was part of our DNA. It was always the six of us.”
Matt LeBlanc, who played Joey Tribbiani, Chandler’s best friend, co-starred Collection of pictures from the show over the years, including one of the actors sharing a group hug.
“It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye. The times we spent together are honestly among the favorite times of my life,” LeBlanc wrote on Instagram. “It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I will never forget you. Never.”
