A first look at the Duchess of Sussex's new business venture has been teased on social media, with pictures of a jar of strawberry jam.

In an attempt to maintain a sense of mystery, the jam from new American brand Riviera Orchard seemed to be spreading among friends and influencers.

Fashion designer Tracy Robbins posted a photo of the jam on Instagram.

The number was “17 out of 50,” indicating the number of beneficiaries of this first fruit of the new work.

The arrival of Meghan's new California-based lifestyle brand was teased on social media last month, suggesting it will sell nutritional products.

Their latest projects appear to be moving away from previous focus on their time as royals, such as the Netflix film Harry and Meghan and Prince Harry's memoir Spare.

The hint about Meghan's American Riviera Orchard strawberry jam seems to fit into the couple's latest Netflix plans.

Meghan will launch a show on Netflix that will “celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining and friendship.”

Prince Harry will take part in another Netflix project that shows the inside track of the world of polo. This is an equestrian sport, not a horse sport.

Delfina Blacker, who is married to Prince Harry's friend, the polo player Nacho Figueras, posted a photo of the new jam, rating it “10 out of 50.”

It is not known how much items from the new lifestyle brand will cost.

Although there were plenty of other royals who got into jams. Visitors to the gift shops at the Royal Palaces can pick up Buckingham Palace strawberry jam for £3.95 or Windsor Castle Fine Cut Seville marmalade for also £3.95.

It seems that on both sides of the Atlantic, they are preserving their financial resources.
