Boys The universe is expanding again with Boys: Mexico, New sub-series of Blue beetle Deadline has learned by Gareth Dunnett Alcocer. Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal are set to executive produce and are considering acting roles despite no lead roles, sources exclusively told Deadline.

A search is currently underway for a showrunner to join creator, writer and executive producer Dunnet-Alcocer, who is now working on the script. Luna recently joined the Star Wars universe in a Disney+ TV series Andorintroduction to Star Wars: Rogue One. García Bernal recently starred in the Amazon biodrama Cassandro It depicts the titular gay wrestler born Saúl Armendáriz.
The longtime friends and collaborators became production partners in 2018 under the banner La Corriente del Golfo (The Gulf Stream). Recent projects he has produced include the aforementioned Cassandro And the series Pan and Circo Hosted by Luna, both for Amazon.
