Operation Longueuil to find a senior who has been missing for almost a year

The City of Montreal police department is manning a command post in Longueuil on Thursday to find witnesses to the disappearance of 81-year-old Félicien Laforce, who has been missing since mid-December 2022.


A mobile command post will be deployed at the corner of Roberwall Boulevard West and Richmond Street in Longueuil from 9 a.m. Thursday. “Investigators are calling on anyone who witnessed his disappearance to come forward and meet them,” the SPVM said in a press release.

Felician Laforce has been missing from Montreal since mid-December 2022. He was last seen near the intersection of Chemin de Chambly and Boulevard Vauclin in Longueuil.

The octogenarian speaks French, is 171 cm (5 ft 7 in) tall, and weighs 77 kg (170 lb). He has gray hair and blue eyes.

When he disappeared, he was wearing a dark hat, a dark winter coat with a fur collar, dark pants and black winter boots, indicating the SPVM.

He gets around on foot and by public transport. He appears to be suffering from cognitive impairment.
