One person was wounded in a stabbing attack in the Limoileaux sector in Quebec. Police are looking for the suspect.
At around 1:10 a.m., the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) had to respond to an armed attack at an apartment on Hamilton Street.
At the scene, police observed a 23-year-old man suffering from stab wounds.
The 20-year-old was taken to hospital but there is no reason to fear for his life, says SPVQ spokesman William Robitaille.
The victim is “cooperative with difficulty, but unknown to police”. The event will be linked to the world of crime. However, it is too early to know whether this is related to conflict between various organized crime groups.
No arrests have yet been made in connection with the case, and the investigation continues to shed light on the situation.
“A perimeter wall was erected to protect the scene. Investigators and technicians from the Forensic Identification Unit are on scene to reconstruct the facts,” concludes William Robitaille.
