The huge new update for Vampire Survivors will introduce Adventure Mode

Minimal auto roguelike Vampire survivors It will soon be getting its most important update yet in Patch 1.8: Adventures.

As explained by developer Poncle in InstructionsAdventures are a modified way of playing Vampire survivors Parallel to your main game. These “mini-story modes” (or “exotic sidequests”) reset the player’s arsenal and progression from scratch without overwriting progress in the main game, and challenge players with unique conditions, progression, and victory criteria. It’s a bit like starting a seasonal character in a role-playing game like Diablo 4.

Adventures will be playable in cooperative mode, and will be divided into chapters that offer specific settings for items, characters, and win conditions, linked by some traditional text. They will be free for anything Vampire survivors player, although some are linked to paid DLC add-ons.

Poncle says that update 1.8 will add three adventures – two available from the base game, and one linked to the DLC – and then he intends to add a new adventure with each subsequent update or DLC release. Adventures must be unlocked within the base game or associated DLC before you can play them.

“the Moonspell Legacy Shows DLC Adventure Vampire survivors “Gameplay includes a series of original twists, featuring remixed environments, characters and weapons,” Bonkel says. “One of the adventures available in the base game will explore how to remake classic content, with a slightly more serious story and the chance to earn unlocks earlier than usual. The other adventure will be as silly as you’d normally expect from Vampire Survivors.

The length of the adventures will vary, though Bonkel estimates it will take an hour or two to complete the first few adventures. However, there is a sort of prestige system in place, where adventures can be “ascended” after they are completed, and stats such as Luck or Greed are modified to make the later gameplay experience more rewarding. This can be done over and over again, ad infinitum.

Although progression in Adventures and the main game are mostly separate, there are some small areas of overlap. Relics and game modes carry over from the main game to adventures, while completing an adventure rewards the player with a stash of coins for use in the main game.

Overall, the adventures feel like a great addition to a game that was difficult to put down in the first place. Update 1.8 Adventures for Vampire survivors “Coming soon” to all platforms.
