Travis Kelce admitted that the lyrical change Taylor Swift made to sing about him at her Buenos Aires Eras show over the weekend left him in complete shock.

Swift changed a line in the song to say “Karma is the guy coming home from the Chiefs” — replacing the original lyric, “Karma is the guy on the screen coming right back to me” — which sparked Kelsey’s visual shock as she danced away into the crowd Next to her father, Scott.

Speaking on his New Heights podcast, the Chiefs star told his brother Jason that she had hinted she would do it, but he was still stunned when it actually happened.

Jason asked his brother: How does it feel to officially be the guy in the Chiefs’ program?

Travis laughed and said, “You mean karma?” I had no idea! Well, maybe I had a little clue.

“But definitely when I heard that come out of her mouth, I was still shocked.” Oh*** she really said that!

As for the trip itself, Kelsey said, “It was a lot of fun. I’ve never been south of the equator.”

I arrived there on Friday and left on Sunday. I was hoping to see Taylor’s second show, as it rained. Lightning, electronics and water don’t mix.

He added: “She was not very happy. She prides herself on her performance in all weather and rain conditions, but when the situation is unsafe, you have to do what you have to do.”

“Everyone accommodated whoever missed Friday to go on Sunday and it turned out perfect.

“The stadium was unbelievable, I forget what it was called. Instead of people getting seats, everyone knew they were going to stand. It was north of 65,000, like 70,000 three nights in a row.

“It’s crazy how many sold out shows you’ve played and these places you keep going. It blew my mind. It was an electric crowd too. It was fun, man.”

Kelsey was on a bye week, so he had a free weekend to travel to Argentina and see his girlfriend perform.

He returns to NFL action on Monday night, when the Chiefs take on his brother Jason and the Philadelphia Eagles in a repeat of last season’s Super Bowl.

Meanwhile, Swift returned to New York at the beginning of the week, but will play in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this weekend.

Her last date in the Brazilian capital is Sunday night, which means Monday’s game at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium is a difficult — but not impossible — transition for her.
