Every day, hundreds of properties change hands in Quebec, most without our knowledge. That was before we got interested in it… Here are the latest transactions that caught our attention.

A luxury two-story residence owned by a Swiss citizen on the shores of Lake Saint-Joseph near Quebec has sold for $2.2 million.

The property is located at 6019 route Fossambault in Fossambault-sur-le-Lac, about forty kilometers from Quebec. In addition to a large solarium, the property offers five bedrooms, two bathrooms, two fireplaces, a private beach and a pontoon boat on two decks.

The property and part of its construction is flooded and no construction zoned. Jacques Charles Renevey bought it in November 2019 for $1.3M.

Within four years, it was up for sale for $2.4 million. A $2.2 million purchase offer, 70% more than four years ago, was accepted.

At the last valuation list, the residence was valued at $1.31 million. In 2023, its municipal taxes were $13,407. Purchase price for buyers includes $31,343 in transfer tax.
