Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade takes players to the First Empire of China

Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade, the first open-world Assassin’s Creed game built for iOS and Android, is set in China in the 3rd century BC, following the Warring States period and the unification of China under the Qin Dynasty. While still under development, Registration is now open The closed beta will take place later this summer. The development team is seeking feedback from fans to help them craft the most authentic Assassin’s Creed experience on mobile yet.

Published by Level Infinite, Codename Jade is set chronologically between Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Origins, and takes place in the first multi-ethnic feudal state of China. “This is a very exciting part of China’s history,” said Andre Chan, Executive Producer of Level Infinite. “This is basically the founding of China’s first empire. It was also a time when the relationship between China and the rest of the world was stronger than ever.”

“Our goal is to deliver an authentic Assassin’s Creed experience on mobile, and we’re very proud of what we already have,” says Chan. “Audiences can expect all the premium features — assassinations, aerial assassinations, stealth, parkour, and combat mechanics — and we keep it narrative-driven.”

In the first series, Codename Jade will allow players to customize the appearance of their assassin, and the team prioritizes touchscreen controls to ensure that Codename Jade’s gameplay feels natural to all players.
