Microsoft is picking up the third most popular game on Steam for its Day One Game Pass launch for PC

Microsoft has acquired Manor Lords, a city builder for PC, as a Day One Game Pass launch game.

Publisher Hooded Horse has announced that Manor Lords will launch on PC via Steam and GOG in Early Access on April 26, 2024, and will then be available on PC Game Pass. A release on consoles and Xbox Game Pass is scheduled “at a later date.”

Manor Lords is currently the third most popular game on Steam after Hades 2 and Hollow Knight: Silksong, and was featured during a Microsoft Xbox Partner Preview stream in October 2023. The new trailer is below:

Developer Slavic Magic has created a historical city-building strategy game that blends city building systems and complex production chains along with a real-time combat layer that turns workers into warriors. The game takes place in a world inspired by medieval life in the 14th century, where the player is tasked with building a new home for the people.

Here is the official blurb:

“Exploit local resources, expand settlements, and create powerful trade routes to meet the people’s ever-growing needs. Surviving the first winter will be difficult, but once players master their surroundings, they will need to beware of new threats such as bandits and rival lords who They seek to seize territory for themselves.

Slavic Magic is a Polish development studio led by Greg Styczen, the (mostly) solo developer of Manor Lords.
