Short Term Training for Construction Industries

Financial support for short-term training to obtain a Certificate of Professional Studies (AEP).

Students enrolled for short-term training will receive training funding of $750 per week, bi-weekly.

Terms and conditions for disbursement of financial assistance will be issued shortly.

Financial Assistance for Diplomas in Certain Professional Courses (DEP).

Those enrolling in a program leading to one of the four DEPs aimed at practicing five priority trades between October 30 and December 15, 2023, or those starting training during the same period may be eligible for a stipend of $9,000 to $15,000. This scholarship is awarded on completion of graduation.

Target study programs are carpentry, construction machine operation, tinsmithing and refrigeration.

To qualify, the person must

  • must have completed their registration between October 30 and December 15, 2023 or commenced training during this period;
  • have suspended their studies for at least twelve months;

    Or

  • Attended or studied General Adult Education (FGA) during this period.
