The tragedy occurred around 10:30 a.m. on the victim’s private property located on Principal Street.

“The man took the initiative to prune a branch that had begun to crack on a tree in his backyard, explains Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Sergeant Audrey-Anne Bilodeau. However, it did not threaten to collapse anyone and did not harm anything.

In the midst of pruning, the sex worker suddenly found himself crushed under a majestic branch. As his relatives were nearby, emergency services rushed to the scene.

Attempts were made to revive the victim, but he was finally pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is underway to establish the precise circumstances of this tragedy.
