Vingt55 reports that residents of Domaine du Vigneron, located on rue du Sauvignon, were in for an unpleasant surprise when they found their basements flooded. The reason? Water return problem. In some cases, a few centimeters of water invaded their homes, leaving residents in confusion.

Le Vingt55 visited the site and met with ten of them, all facing the same problem. “It’s mainly the drains under the washer that back up into our homes,” some homeowners explain. Further down the street, some houses were still affected. A resident had to call in a special cleaning team.

A resident told Vingt55 his basement was flooded and the damage was significant. “A few centimeters of water covered my foundation and caused significant damage. This is the first time such an incident has happened to me,” she lamented. So far, she has not received any information about the situation or the extent of the damage. “We are all in the same boat and it takes water,” she said. He added that he had called in a team to clean up the damage.

To date, residents are still waiting for an explanation. The city of Drummondville has not released any information because the matter is still under investigation.

Contacted by Vingt55, Director of Communications Dominique Villeneuve questioned the causes and extent of the damage, indicating that no information would be released for now. “As we are under investigation, we cannot release any information at this time,” said the director of communications for the city of Drummondville.
