Travis Kelce’s family is said to be “a little concerned” for Travis Kelce’s safety due to the intensity of Taylor Swift’s fans

TMZ reports Kelsey’s family says while they’re happy for Travis, they feel overwhelmed by the extra fame and publicity since the NFL star started dating Swift.

The report adds that the deep love some Swift’s fans have for her has left them concerned for his safety, leaving them “somewhat stunned.”

Kelce’s family is one of the most famous families in football – his brother Jason plays for the Philadelphia Eagles and his parents, especially his mother Donna, often share duties cheering on the brothers. In this year’s Super Bowl, the Chiefs played the Eagles and Donna went viral for wearing a 50-50 jersey for both teams to support her boys.

But their profile has been rising over the past month with Kelsey dating Swift, one of the most famous stars in the world.

TMZ says the family is happy for Travis but it takes time for them to adjust to the attention.

Swift met Kelsey’s parents – the first time she saw him play in Kansas City, she was in a suite with Donna and has since been photographed with father Ed.

So far, it seems like the Kelce family is trying to take their newfound fame on the chin and hasn’t shut down much from talking about Swift.

Jason said the new attention is strange to him, telling NBC Sports last week: “It’s definitely been strange, the level it’s at now.”

“On the one hand, I’m happy for my brother because he seems to be in a relationship that he’s passionate about, and he’s honest about it. But there’s another end to it where it’s like, ‘Oh man, this is too much.’

‘So, on the one hand, [I’m] Really, really happy with my brother and where he is right now with Taylor. But on the other hand, I think there are some red flags sometimes, you know, that can be too much of a pursuit of people.

Swift occasionally appears as a talking point on Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, which he hosts with his brother Jason, and Donna has talked about it before. Ed doesn’t regularly speak to the media – which was the case before Swift came on the scene.

But the Kelce brothers in New Heights joked that seeing their father talking to Swift at a recent game made them nervous.

“If you were watching the game, you saw something very important happen — Taylor Swift talking to Ed Kelsey,” Jason said on the podcast.

“This is a terrifying conversation,” Travis said with a laugh. “I felt terrible for Taylor.

The brothers joked that their father has a colorful personality and they couldn’t be sure what he would say to Swift, but Travis quickly explained that he and Jason have “the best dad in the world.”

Fortunately for Kelces, the hype may be about to die down somewhat with Swift not expected to be in a Chiefs game for another month or so.

She missed Sunday’s game in Denver to focus on Eras’ upcoming Brazil tour dates in Argentina, which will see her on the road for almost all of November.

The next Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium that she can attend is Dec. 10 against the Buffalo Bills.
