On the night of May 21-22, her daughter Vicky Boomer was driving with her boyfriend on the Témiscamingue Boulevard in Rouyn-Noranda when an oncoming vehicle collided head-on with their car.

Wrong choice
“Accidents, I know it’s possible. But if what happened to my daughter and Yani was the fault of the person who made the wrong choice, it’s unacceptable, it could have been avoided,” Kathy Boomer began.
On the evening of the tragedy, her daughter and her boyfriend were returning in the evening with friends in the sand pit. Yannick was drinking, but Vicky was not. So the young man left his pick-up on the spot and returned home with his wife.

In a five-year relationship, Yannick, who worked in the mines, and Vicky, a bachelor of criminals, recently owned a home.
“All of their life plans were set in motion, which was a real shame. The family plan was coming. They had bought the house in anticipation of this. They were a responsible little couple, and they deserved to continue for a long time,” Kathy Boomer said with tears in her eyes.
“My daughter needs to rebuild her life and learn to live by accepting what she cannot change,” the mother whispered.
Poor driving record

Careless driving
