This morning around 6 o'clock, On route 138, there was an accident involving a police vehicle between St. Antoine and the Pignoronde entrance in Pie-Saint-Paul.

The policeman and female policeman in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital by ambulance. The man had a headache and the colleague had rib pain.

According to information received by us, police are trying to trace the alleged offending vehicle.

“Weather conditions began to deteriorate during what appeared to be a U-turn maneuver,” said Sergeant Hélène St-Pierre in SQ media relations.

The police officers and the bus were traveling westbound. The bus driver said the patrol van first turned right. “I changed lanes and suddenly the car veered to the left and ended up sideways in front of me. The impact happened at that moment,” said the man.

The collision did not occur at high speed. The bus was traveling at a speed of about 50 kmph.
