You'll need to cover up well to enjoy the nice weather this weekend in Quebec, as the air will be particularly cold for the first time this winter.

According to Environment Canada forecasts, the sun will be visible in Montreal on Friday morning, but clouds will soon appear.

Residents of Greater Montreal may have to deal with a wind chill of -23 in the morning, before temperatures warm to -11. The perceived temperature will be -19 for Saturday.

With beautiful sunshine, it will be even colder near Quebec, where wind chills will reach -19 Friday afternoon and -27 Saturday morning.

In general, perceived temperatures will fluctuate between -14 and -27 in the south of the province in Estrie, Centre-du-Québec, Mauricie, Lanaudière and Laurentides.

A little snow

Residents of Bas-Saint-Laurent may see a few flakes or even light snow with up to 2 cm of accumulation in the corners of Rimouski and Gaspé.

The same goes for Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, where the federal government warned of a risk of freezing due to a -30 wind chill Saturday morning.
