The family was sitting in the small car in the front. Rescue workers pulled out at least one car seat, which was visible on the ground, after a fatal impact.

The deadly clash took place in the morning in Notre-Dame-de-La-Salat, a small municipality of 750 souls, on Route 309, a small municipality about sixty kilometers north of Kadino. Curtis Armstrong, 33, was visiting the dentist with his son Riley, 5, and daughter Lexi, 7.

Police spokesman Sergeant Martin Fornell of the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outauais explained, “The father left the road for a fraction of a second.

Decisive time

The family’s Chevrolet Spark collided head-on with another oncoming vehicle. Little Riley was taken to the hospital, where he died without treatment. The girl is in critical condition at a children’s hospital in eastern Ontario.

“The next 72 hours will be decisive,” Sergeant Fornell said.

The father of the family was seriously injured and the life of the driver of the other car is still in danger. The 64-year-old is a resident of Candle.

Will specialize in the two vehicles and pediatric car benches involved to rule out all other possible theories.

An inquest will also be held to determine the exact cause of the boy’s death.

Dangerous road

According to many residents in the area, Route 309 has caused a number of accidents in recent years.

City Mayor Anton Brunet said, “It’s very busy and there’s a lot of speed.

However, the mayor said the location of the violent clash was not the problem area.

“It was really a stupid and tragic accident,” he says.

A mass fundraising campaign was launched by the mother’s co-workers, a beneficiary helper at a nursing home in Gadino.

Yesterday evening, more than $ 9,000 was raised to help the family of Stephanie Laramie, who suffered a devastating tragedy ten days before Christmas.
