(Laval) At around 8am on Saturday, Laval police officers were waiting to meet two young men with gunshot wounds at a restaurant bar in the Somadi district at night.
Both men in their twenties presented themselves to hospitals in Laval and Montreal to seek treatment for life-threatening injuries.
Other calls to 911 at 1:20 a.m. Saturday alerted police to footage of the Aztec restaurant-bar located on the Boulevard Q-label.
“When we arrived at the scene, none of the victims were found by the police. However, we received information that two victims had presented themselves at two different hospitals for gunshot wounds,” said Stephanie Peshara, a spokeswoman for the Laval Police Department (SPL).
One of the two youths has already been discharged from the hospital and the victims will eventually be questioned by investigators.
Of course, when the situation allows, if they can talk to us, the investigators will go and meet them. Now it remains to be seen whether they want to cooperate with the police.

In the scene of the shots, a large security perimeter was set up. A dog handler was specifically invited to search for evidence.
“Witnesses were met and if there were surveillance cameras capturing what happened there, police should check on surrounding businesses,” an SPL spokesman said.
At 6:30 a.m. the security perimeter was removed and no arrests were made.
“We are at the beginning of the investigation. For now, we are talking about an isolated incident. […] The public does not need to be afraid, ”said agent Peshara.
